Track of the day: REAL ESTATE - FAKE BLUES
A little bit late to the party on this one but Real Estates shimmering debut album has made a real impression on me and the lo-fi, summery pop on display here is just magical. Here one of the standout tracks shines like a silver coin on a deserted beach. The similarities to Yeasayers debut album are many but whereas the aforementioned often drifted around, meandering through conciousness Real Estate seem to have purpose, a direct goal and a time limit. Just beautiful.
