One of the worst things about christmas is the music, anyone going to spend the festive season with parents or older relatives knows this pain. Picture it; You’re sat at the table with a beautiful succulent turkey in front of you. An array of spectacularly displayed vegetables and side dishes surround you. The family sits peacefully with so much love for those around them, the joy of present opening subsiding to let in the festive cheer. And then SOMEONE puts on FUCKING CLIFF RICHARD. Resume standard bickering, shouting, disagreements and food shovelling.
Generally speaking songs about christmas are horrific excercises in overt cheeriness and in the case of Ol’ Cliffbags, extreme Christianity. Its almost as bad as sitting on this guys lap:
So in the spirit of giving I have compiled an alternative christmas song list, this is not definitive and its only just better than listening to Wham! all day but the Eazy-E track more than makes up for some of the others. So enjoy and if you manage to put it on during christmas then I salute you. Also be warned there are 3 different versions of last christmas, all just as horrendous as the last.
