Track of the Day: Machinedrum - DDD
Machinedrum is one half of Sepalcure, the bass music duo who’s self titled album made big stirs in the music community late last year. While the Sepalcure album largely used house samples to add a human element to their often moody dub backdrops, here we find Machinedrum (real name, Travis Stewart) embracing the bouncy music style previously mentioned and ramping layer upon layer with more vocals, hats and claps until it resembles more of a Daft Punk track than Joy Orbison. Then it switches on you to revel in its early 90’s influences and distort it way into the 2010’s. A really great cut from upcoming EP SXLND.
